Yao Xiao has been selected as a Student Travel Award winner for the 6th International Neuroergonomics Conference (NEC 2026), themed “Neuroscience of the Everyday World.” The conference will take place on July 13–16, 2026.
At NEC 2026, Yao will also deliver an oral presentation on her EEG–fNIRS research examining the use of generative AI in architectural design tasks. Her work explores how multimodal neurophysiological measures can provide new insights into human cognitive processes during AI-assisted design.
